Procedure for performing eyeball restoration
Dr.Phan Hoang Hai’s design process combines art of detail with layering techniques to duplicate the depth, color and style of a natural eye. Leveraging our skills and experience, we aim to dramatically improve a patient’s appearance, confidence and sense of well-being.
Step 1: Examination – Diagnosis – Take an impression of the eye socket
The eye socket is assessed before performing the restoration by a maxillofacial prosthetist. Usually, orbital shape and volume are accurately reproduced through impressions with specialized materials and techniques.
Step 2: Try on Eye Faces
The mold made from the original sample was used to determine the position and orientation of the pupil in relation to the eyelids.
Step 3: Try Eye Restoration & Color Coating
Try out the eye restoration and determine where the color, color, and vascular coverage is overlaid on the base of the eye restoration to accurately simulate the natural aesthetic compared to the other eye.
Step 4: Try & Attaching Eye Restoration
Eye restoration after polishing is installed in the patient’s eye socket and evaluated before eye delivery with instructions for use, restoration of restorations and instructions for periodic re-examination.
Phan Hoang Hai graduated as a Doctor of Odonto-Stomatology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City. With a post-graduate research project on the 3-dimensional dimensions of individual eyeball restorations for patients with a defect in one eye, the doctor wishes to integrate his clinical knowledge of Medicine, Dentistry, Fine Arts and Restorative techniques to create the most natural copies possible for his patients.
